      3. Hi, wonderful ride, all that I spoke to got lost at least twice on route, the lime markings were out last weekend already, by race day the cows, wind and rain had destroyed them, so we had to check out for the tape instead, was difficult during fast downhills or close following sections, but good ride in all, kiddies battled to control brakes on golf course finish downhill, many took a tumble. I know many people don’t want medals, but some of us really like to collect them at each race, could we not have the option, my oldest daughter might start with her first 25km this year, and she wont do it without knowing that she will get a medal. last years big five medals were great. If you don’t date them, they can roll over to the next year.

        Hi Graham,

Thanks so much for your feedback – we really appreciate it! We have passed on your message to the relevant people, and Shane, from Big 5, has made contact with you and addressed your main concerns in detail.
In short, we are aware of the marshaling/route issues on the 10km route and assure you that we have addressed them and made the necessary changes in order to ensure that all runs more smoothly going forward.
Unfortunately, medals are not always an option and we hope that your daughter goes forth and enters a 25km race for the challenge and personal achievement alone! 🙂 She’ll then be able to keep a host of other goodies as memorabilia instead of a medal, such as the race t-shirt, photographs of her finish and so forth. However, each race in the Big 5 Series differs, and medals might be an option in the future so hold thumbs!
Please continue to send us your feedback!

        Thanks so much,
        The MiWay MTB Team
