MiWay Big5 Race 2: Heatonville Leopard Classic

    • Time: Registration from 6:30am, races start from 8:45am
    • Venue: Heatonville Farm, Zululand
    • Distances: 25km, 50km, 10km fun ride

    • Batching! We are batching this year. Please note that late entries cannot be seeded, so please enter online now to be batched! For all batch queries, please email Shane on shane@nashuazulu.co.za.
    • The video production team will be in full swing so make sure to make an appearance to get your 15 minutes of fame!

    Route profiles

    How to get there

    1. Take N2 North from Durban
    2. Turn-off at Richards Bay / Empangeni off-ramp, R34 (+-1h30mins)
    3. Turn left at the off-ramp and drive towards Empangeni on the R34
    4. Continue straight through Empangeni on the R34 main road and out the other side towards Eshowe. i.e. you will drive through 10 sets of traffic lights (do not turn off the R34.)
    5. After the last traffic light proceed +-8km’s, you will pass an industrial site (Empangeni Milling) on your left and then you will encounter the Heatonville turnoff on your right.
    6. Cross the railway line and proceed another +-8 km’s to the Heatonville club

    Where to stay:

    We suggest the Umfolozi Casino in Empangeni, about 30km past Mtunzini on the North Coast.

    Expect an hour’s drive for those travelling from Mtunzini, and about 2 – 2.5 hours drive for those travelling from Umhlanga Rocks.

      1. Like many other riders at the Leopard Classic, I wasn’t registered with ROAG. Where can we see our times and overall placings? Because only the times and placings of ROAG registered riders are on this web page.

        Hi Martin,

        Unfortunately, only if you are registered with ROAG will you be able to be timed, since the registration with them allows the timing chip to be placed on your race board. If you have any specific queries for them, please email Nicole on Nicole@roagsport.co.za.
