Event: The Wild Goose Run, MTB race & Family Day

    Are you in the Garden Route over the festive period?

    Because Retief Goosen and Goose Wines invites you to join them on the idyllic Wine Estate in the Upper Langkloof, for a day filled with family fun!

    With the introduction of the Mountain Biking event, this year’s Family Day is bound to be even more fun! MiWay is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring the mountain bike events. There will be lots of different activities to choose from:

    • 20km and 10km Trail Run
    • 5km Fun Run/Walk
    • 30km Mountain Bike Race, brought to you by MiWay
    • 5km Fun Bike ride for the Kids, brought to you by MiWay
    • 4×4 Adventure Challenge
    • Longest Golf Drive Competition
    • Variety of Food & Craft Stalls
    • Goose Wines (and the all-important wine-tasting!)
    • Activities for your kids
    • Music and making new friends!

    How to get there

    The Goose Wine Estate is located in the Upper-Langkloof Valley, just behind the Outeniqua Mountains on the picturesque Garden Route near George, South Africa.

    Directions from George

    1.) Drive towards the Outeniqua Pass and head on the N9/N12 towards Oudsthoorn.
    2.) Continue for about 21.5km through the Waboomskraal Valley.
    3.) Continue straight pass the N12/Route 62 turn-off for Oudsthoorn.
    4.) Continue with the N12/N9 towards Uniondale/Joubertinia.
    5.) Continue for about 25km and you’ll find The Goose Wine Estate entrance on your right, just after the Lovain turn-off.

    Directions from Oudsthoorn1.) Head east on Kerk St toward Baron Van Reede St/R328.
    2.) Take the 1st right onto Baron Van Reede St/R328.
    3.) Continue onto Langenhoven Rd/N12/R62 Continue to follow N12/R62 for about 34km.
    4.) Turn left onto N12/N9, towards Uniondale and Joubertinia.
    5.) Continue for about 25km and you’ll find The Goose Wine Estate entrance on your right, just after the Lovain turn-off.
